Default VAG COM question

I was wondering what is the best one to buy? I have an airbag light that comes on for a minute and then turns off, I hear this is because I was messing with the cluster while I car was on and that sent a signal code to the airbag system and now it comes on and I want to clear it. I searched google and came up with a few different ones ranging in price from 40.00-300.00 and I was just wondering what everyone else has. and the best place to order one.

The real one is from www.ross-tech.com You can try and get one from ebay, but you never know with ebay. If i am going to be messing with the electronics on my car, I'm not gonna cut corners. This is one of those tools that will prove to be invaluable and pay for itself after a few uses. In any case, you have to register it with ross-tech and that cost about 100 bucks. My money would be to buy an official one if you have the funds.

I have the VAG-COM from Ross-Tech as well. There is really nothing better on the market and it is worth the extra money. Their tech supprot and wiki are pretty good as well.

The only problem with these eBay cables is that it is not just about the cable. You also need a computer program to interface with the ECU. I trust ross-tech and their program. Can you say the same about some software you get bundled with a cable on eBay for $30?
