Default valve cover gasket

has any one done a valve cover gasket on a 01 2.8 cause i think mine are leaking because when i pull out a spark plug wire it is soaked in oil and when i turn my car off or stop after driving for a while smoke comes from under the hood and i was wondering how hard they are to do

Not hard from what I hear.. there should be a write-up on here or at AudiWorld.

there isn't a writeup for the 2.8 (or i never found it) but its not hard at all.
really straight forward....
just follow the 1.8t write up (everythings pretty much the same)

and make sure you do the cam seals as well. when i did my valve-cover gaskets i didnt do the seals and they still leak alil bit!

I just changed my valve cover gaskets this weekend on my a6. It took me about 5 hours of work. I was getting the smoke, that is why I changed the gasket. Just remember to mark where things go when you take things off. I would also suggest having the ramps to drive the car up on so it is easier to work on the engine. My back was a little sore from having to bend over so far. Hope it goes well for you.
