Good luck man.

What HID kit did you end up going with?

"alpine deck, 12" polk audio subwoofer, 760W pioneer amp"
you got all that for $70?

i bought the DDM 35W 6000k. they are extremely easy to install! i was impressed.

and no i didn't get all of that for 70 bucks, just the amp, which i thought was a good deal.

i bought the deck for 150,sub for 90, wires 25, and a free box from a friend.

how do i remove the trim around the factory radio?! does anybody know?

You have to remove the radio first, there are 4 screws holding the trim on.

Remove those 4 screws and then gently pop the trim off. I like to start at the top and work my way around counter clockwise.

nevermind i guess i don't have to do that i got it out.

so do i cut the plastic connectors off of the wires, then solder the wires from the new deck to the wires from the old one? or is there a kit i need to buy?

this is turning into a major headache!

DIY with pictures would be awesome
thanks

Wish I could help you out more, but I bought mine with an aftermarket radio already installed.

Found this though: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/diy-do-yourself-55/2000-a4-s4-aftermarket-h-u-install-tutorial-matt-27421/
