VW in to Audi???

VW in to Audi???

I got a 2.8L 30V engine from a 2003 Passat.
Is it the same as the one found on an 2000 A4?

You have to check the engine codes. The A4 engine is an ATQ motor. If the Passat also is, they should interchange.

Could we be more vague? Plenty of parts from vw fit an Audi and vise versa.

Well, as per AllData, the engine code is an ATQ for the VW as well but when I started to look more in detail, the VW engine has the same compression as the Manual engine on an A4. The A4 automatic has a higher compression.
My A4 is an automatic.
