Nope, throw the springs on and you're set - control arms stay the same (unless they're bad of course).

Ok thanks. On ebay there are alot of tein and Megan. Springs but they all say for FWD or 1.8. Does it really matter?

Yes different engine cars have different weights so springs are engine specific. 2.8 weighs more then a 1.8.

When you install the new lowering springs, you'll want to loosen the bolts from the control arms to the sub-frame/upper strut mount bracket, jack up the suspension (carefully) to "ride height" and torque the bolts down to spec. The reason being is that the control arms will now be at lesser of an angle than before when the car was higher. The rubber bushings will twist and soon tear if they aren't tightened at the new ride height.

There are different springs for Quattro and FWD because the suspensions are set up differently. They are not interchangeable.

If you have a 2.8, get the Tein S-Tech. I just installed them on mine and love it. I went from 27" gtf to 24 7/8". If you have the 1.8, then you're limited to other varieties as the S-Tech isn't offered for that engine.

I'm running Neuspeed Race and the drop is nice but the ride is a tad on the harsh side. I'm used to it now, but coils would be better.
