Default water leak help (not radiator)

Hello all, hope you can help. I have water leaking into the drivers side front floorboard, I was cleaning the engine today and noticed water pooled up in the upper corner near the windshield, then when I opened the drivers door I noticed a puddle on the floor board.

I cleaned out the corner and closed the hood then sprayed water on the windshield and hood area. Water was still leaking in but not nearly as bad. I've never noticed water getting into the cab before. But to be honest it's usually in the garage and we haven't had all that much rain lately

What I did notice was the windshield cowl is pretty bad off and separated from the windshield.

Any advice on how to stop this? Thanks in advance.

Remove the battery, under it is a whole for water to drain. it may be plugged with leaves and other debris. It has a rubber grommet with slits in it, clear it out.

Usually people find water on the passenger's side floorboard when the battery tray is full because that's where fresh air comes in. There's also a drain hole under the brake booster. You can see it if you stand on the passenger's side with the battery removed.

Thanks all I got it fixed now, I hope anyway. Turns out the gasket under the ECU was bad. Got the ECU case out enough to re-seal underneath with some RTV. I'm waiting for it to dry now to see if I've got the leak stopped.
