Default what is this?

I only have the Haynes' manual right now, which sux, but I would like to identify the cracked rubber hose to the left of the fuel rail. it looks like a coolant or oil return line. the cold weather has been aggravating it and I dont want it to pop.

Most people on this forum are 1.8t guys, so you should either just follow the line to where it ends or take a larger picture and a few from other angles so we can possibly help you unless a 2.8er comes along

If I recall correctly it's part of the crankcase ventilation system. Very brittle and it will break when you try to remove it. Buy a whole new kit from Blau. Replace the whole deal.

Forgot to mention, that is only part 1...the other parts to the conclusion are on youtube as well-this guy broke it up into 6 parts.

What are you asking? It's the power steering pressure hose as said before, you can follow it to the pump and rack. It's a bit of a PITA job and likely quite expensive. If you were in Canada I'd ship you my old one for super cheap.

Looks like a 2.8 V6 Audi engine to me...hahahahahahahaha......I just had to be a smart aleck.....

And the PS pressure hose is DEFINITELY a PITA...and time consuming...but if you watch those videos, you will see how detailed of a job it is....
