Car was towed last night... from my own apartment complex. Parked in a parking space that is occupied 1 hr a day from 4-5pm, if at all. Pretty sure it's a spot designated for the manager, but nobody was parked in it after my car was towed (around 10:30pm). $160, not fun.

On the bright side it got me to ride my bike to work today, a mere 3 miles

Hoping to only work a half day so I can pick up my car and throw in my stock airbox modified to fit a 3 inch MAF housing!

Ordered generic VAG-COM cable. It will be here Friday.

Now looking at cheap PCs at Best Buy so I have something VAG COM compatable.

I should have the cable tomorrow... I had to google for awhile to find one not being shipped straight from China (just because it takes weeks to get here). I finally found one through Amazon, 10 bucks for the cable, 10 bucks for 2nd day air... 20 bucks, and it's here tomorrow. I also bought a cheap as laptop "for the house" to have a windows based PC (there is a lot of government work related stuff I can't do on my Mac too, so I needed one anyway) and downloaded VCDS-Lite last night... Tomorrow, we play!

I'll let you know how it works out, and I'll post a link for where I bought the cable.

I took the heat shield off the factory air box and zip tied it to thet steel like that clamps to it. And kinda jammed it in there, doesnt seal off heat completely but better than nothing, then last half of the air duct on there. But that does look very clean. Mine not so much lol

Not really today but in the last few days:

New rear calipers, rotors, pads
New cabin air filter
New ignition switch
Rebuilt my headlight switch
Fixed the illumination on my mirror switch
Unjammed the ashtray
Got my old 18" Flik wheels back from Tyler and on the car
