What did I do to my C5?

spend all f'n morning and most of the f'n afternoon f'n with the f'n O2 sensors. I was convinced it would be no problem. I was sure the sensor I bought would be "plug and play". well...none of what I thought was accurate. none of it went smoothly. nothing went the way it should and after all of that I'm convinced that I f'ed it up somehow. I've been too pissed about it to try to set readiness and see if I got it right or not. i think if it doesn't work i will be looking for a new car

Picked it up from NGP. VERY pleased with the new clutch so far! I've been thinking I might write up a review about it.

write a review? where you gonna post it? in your trunk?

C5?

set the readiness with ye olde vag-com. no more CEL. took it through emissions. apparently my kludged O2 repair was good enough for their scanner. I am much relieved

Trunk is empty actually! I need to take a pic to silence all the haters lol. Glad to hear you passed emissions, that's always a relief.

The "trunk" is empty? What did you do, put the exhaust in the garage now?

Having visited Chris a few weeks ago, I can confirm that the "trunk" is indeed empty. The exhaust was in his hall closet.

I needed to replace my snow tires for the upcoming winter. Scored a set of Michelin Arctic Alpin on Merc E-class wheels today. Went to the guy's house, threw one on the car to ensure they'd fit and not interfere with the A8 brakes or rub the fender. Perfect fit. I only need a set of 66.56/57.1 hub rings to use them. They'll make a nice style upgrade from the black steelies I've been using the last four winters. Paid $150 for the full set - cant complain.

The guy was cool as hell, and had an 05 SL500 in the garage alongside this beauty - a mint (and I mean absofuckinglutely CHERRY) '55 T-Bird. What a beautiful and immaculate car...

That's awesome! Love the white walls. Great deal on the wheel/tire combo as well.

I got the driver side pinch bolt out...Feels so good when it breaks loose.

Not having much luck with the passenger side. I'll let the penetrant oil soak overnight and hope for the best tomorrow...
