Had to open up my speedo cluster and replace my coolant needle LED's. They started flickering off and on.

Not really what I did today. Its not often Im at the trunk and pull up the liner to view my spare wheel. I swear I recall having a full size OEM wheel in there. Anyway, I went in there to pull out the spare wheel, finding a smaller spare tire mounted on wheelies.

Like wtf??? I have a feeling its been missing for a while now because I havent taken my car to a garage for sometime now. Last was garage I went to was to get my car tinted.

my C5?

Sat in it for quite a while today with the vag-com hooked up. Need to get it to pass emissions by Wednesday (not going to happen). Tried to do a bunch of adaptations to get the O2 sensors to read correctly and turn off the CEL. Seems to have made some improvements but unfortunately looks like I'm going to need to change the B2S2 sensor. Luckily it's one of the easier ones to get at. My only other worry is I'm getting "catalyst efficiency below threshold" on bank 1. I'm going to be really pissed if I have to replace a cat. The tax return wasn't quite what I hoped it would be this year and money is uber tight.

I didn't really do to much to my car today but I did get another piece of the puzzle to install on Saturday. My Awe Tuning DTS finally came in so I'll put that on when the weekend rolls around and do my pcv total refresh at the same time.

Jones - I assume you're referring to brake lines in keeping with your S4 brake swap.

Have you tried applying heat? You don't want to cook it as you would a rusty bolt, but heating with with a MAPP or propane torch and then quenching with a spray bottle of water will go a long way. Rather than getting it cherry red, warm it and then cool, then repeat.

Also, using the correct line wrenches will keep you from rounding off the brass flair nuts.

Bshut - i used mapp. i have every flare wrench but an 11mm. all came off with an 11 box end except the mc hard line to the first rear flex line. i didn't go to hard at them because i didn't wan to round it off. I attempted to get the hard line off the s4 calipers and had success one one of them with heat. i ended up overnighting two new front caliper hard lines. i will heat then cool today. they have been soaking with pb overnight.

So this is how I started yesterday afternoon...

Put the wheels back on it, hood on dropped it back to the floor pushed it out and lifted the motor into the back... I will miss the old girl Going outside now to work on some little things with her before she leaves (sometime next week) After pushing her out of the garage (first time in 6+months) I almost wanted to keep her...
