What did you do to your B5 today?
Idk if I'd agree so much about it taking more than 6 hours. When I did my 5 spd swap it was the first time I've ever touched something like that and long story short I didnt tighten the pressure plate bolts tight enough and had to take the tranny off.
Second time I did it (which is basically like a clutch job) it took no more than 3 and a half hours from the time I got it on the lift and had her back on the ground.
Keep in mind that was my second time doing it, I had a tranny jack and air tools.
Just throwing it out there!

im actually starting to agree with melo man. in about two hours i am ready to drop the tranny. Air tools and jack stands, i bet ill have the tranny out tomorrow in an hour. Don't have a trany jack either. this jib isn't too tough i bet Chris can fit in some spare time
If you guys are so good at changing clutches, come do mine. It's slipping like a ****. I'm going to spain next week for a month and you can stay at my house and drive it around. just have it changed by time I get back.
Ok so, my buddies are restoring their dad's first car. It's a 1972 VW Thing that's been sitting for at least 32 years. Engine still cranks freely and all the lights still work but there was 32 year old leaded gas still in the tank. As we were illegally dumping the gas over the side of the hill my one buddy wanted to know if it still burned. We grabbed a piece of trash, soaked it, and I lit it with no problem. My buddy picks it up and for some dumbass reason, drops it in the stream of gasoline...
