Those should be the D connector that matches your car. I have the black housing version of those, which also had the D connector. With my car being a pre-facelift, with a round connector, I simply removed the connector and harness from my stock lamps and installed them in the new lights and it was plug and play with the car.

Since you have 1-piece lights now, you can just do the clear corner mod and end up with essentially the same thing.

As for the aftermarket HID setup, Emil from Krautoparts is in Ithaca. I can call him and see if he can meet us Thursday/Friday and he can hook you up at the same time with HIDs and LEDs.

If you have halogen bulbs stock these should be plug and play, but the H7 HID kit is still an option if you want them.
I am not sure if my audi came stock with an HID kit because the guy who owned car before me put on these cheap ebay projector headlights so i am going to try to figure it out today...and some places it says with installation of new headlights you lose fog light function. I would def want an h7 hid set up or any hid kit in general thats my reason for changing headlights

Yes, they should fit fine as is, 100% -- no fender trimming.

FWIW, the ones you're looking at appear to have a city-light bulb holder. I am not sure how that ties into facelift B5's (1999.5+), but I do not think you would lose fog light functionality at all. On my prefacelift 1999, the city light acts as the fog light which would lose functionality because it's not there.

What do you have on there now? The halo-projectors ?

good thats what i wanted to hear (the no fender trimming) haha..and yeah its the clear halo projectors. They work alright but apparently if i put HIDS in them they would melt the housings? Also the guy who had car before me wired them in really terribly so there is a short somewhere..for example when ever i turn on my headlights the driver side lamp wont go on until i pop the hood then it goes on and i close hood and it stays on..but its very mysterious haha. Which is why im looking to just take out his ghetto wiring and put new lights in and use my stock harnessing!

Changed my headlight bulbs and reverse light bulbs, and put my catalyst back in so I can try to pass inspection. Sucks because the exhaust doesn't sound as nice, but I'm getting pretty good at swapping them out (only took 1.5hrs this time) and I took the opportunity to tighten up an exhaust rattle and get the tips centered in the rear valence, which has always bothered me.

Also took an obligatory trunk photo becausefuckyouguysthatswhy

Bought a $25 OEM RS4 grill on Saturday. It was pretty new.

I try not to let Nick out of the rape closet when it's still sunny outside.
