First attempt with my new camera. It's very quiet, I think the next time around I'll take it out of the shock-proof case.

I unloaded all of the C5 parts I brought back from MI. At the same time I LIFTED my car 1.5". I guess there was some weight there.

I jump started mine after it sat for 10 days while I was on vacation. Now I have a check engine light. We rented an Opel Insignia wagon, that thing is awesome. I think it has a 2.0 turbo diesel. Drove it from Regansburg Germany across the Czech Republic to Auschwitz Poland then down to Budapest Hungary across to Bratislava, Slovakia to Salzburg Austria and back home round trip around 1300 miles, averaged 39.8 MPG, driving in Germany killed that. Had the cruise set on 125MPH and was getting 32mpg. In other countries I was getting 40-45 mpg. They actually have speed limits. My Audi would have gotten about 22mpg average, or less. But the wife's POS 520 would have got about 15 mpg.

That is awesome! How did you like the journey? I spent a year studying in Prague and took quite a few road trips, hitting many of the same places you did. Unfortunately I was riding along in a tiny VW Polo (we called her Miss Polo) and weren't doing any cruising at 125mph. If you have some pictures post them up!

I put the front of my interior/dash in the back seat again today. My interior always seems to be ripped apart.

Plasti Dipped my wheels and side skirts again, this time in Dipyourcar's new Anthracite Grey. Also ordered a new cabin air filter and have been trying to find something called a "G89" sensor that doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere (it's throwing a code in HVAC), but it might just be that my cabin air filter is really bad causing the code.
Also found Audi a4 manuals and diagrams for any engine code which should be handy eventually (I posted a link in my sig, props to whoever socals4 is)

Installed DDM Tunings 35w hid kit with 8000k bulbs. Less blue than I was expecting but that is probably a good thing. Also threw in some krauto led license plate bulbs. Best 8 bucks I've spent

You'll want to replace those at soon point with a more reasonable color temperature rather than waiting for the first rainy night. The amount of usable light produced drops off drastically after 5000K, with peak output at 4300K. There is a reason that every OEM application of HID lamps use 4300K color temperature. Just food for thought.

Pulled her out of the garage yesterday and gave her a bath. The battery is completely dead now, she has developed another coolant leak, and the brakes are extremely spongy...

I really need to get around to fixing all the little issues... but the engine still runs strong. Started right up (with a jump) and ran like a champ.
