Got to some tender loving care with Audina.

Changed valve cover gasket, both front camshaft seals, half moon and gasket seal.

Next is my serpentine belt tensioner that's making a loud noise, when i put Audina in drive, then transmission and motor mounts are after that.

Took my drivers door off yet again, this time to replace the regulator clips since they broke. Huge huge PITA, took me a solid 2 hours to replace 2 freakin tiny pieces of plastic.

Picture doesn't show up, but how did you go about replacing them? I ended up riveting a used regular with working clips in.

Fixed it, i bought 2 clips of ebay for $5 that feel really solid. I removed the entire door with regulator/motor/glass and broke the clips off of the metal-glass connectors. After i figured out how to do that it was pretty easy, just took the glass off the metal connectors and just snapped the new clips onto the regulator wire and reattached the glass then reassembled everything.
Couple tricks if anybody else needs to do this:
1. Take off the motor, that way you can move the regulator wire which makes it about 150% easier
2. Also take the glass off the metal connectors it sits in, im not sure if its even possible to do it with the glass still attached
3. Get a really strong person to help you, i work out quite a bit and it still took me forever to get the metal-glass connectors into the new clips even without the glass attached
4. When removing the old broken clips don't even bother trying to take them off in one piece, i tried doing that at first for about 20 minutes then decided just to screw it and went at it with some wire cutters, just don't accidentally cut the regulator wire

Default Emission mission

So.... I've been driving around with 1198, 1199 and 0140 (rear passenger side O2 sensor) codes for a few months now, but with an inspection sticker expiring in August it was time to put the procrastination aside. First I found that my passenger side cat (which I replaced back in January when both flex joints had rusted through) had a nice rattle, so ordered a replacement (same Eastern Catalytic version, hope 2nd time works out better - I've seen very mixed reviews). Anyway, replaced the cat as well as all 4 oxygen sensors for good measure (both pre-cat sensors were the original ones from 15 years and 150K miles ago, so about time). Incidentally the rear passenger sensor was replaced in Jan when I did the cat, but with a generic cheaper one - went with Bosch all around this time. Now we wait and see if the codes remain absent so I can pass inspection....

Then, on to address the 1392 code that's been sticking around for a while (camshaft position sensor). Oh, fun.

Default Fun Times

I just got my front CV Drive Axels replaced....Love it....got to pick up my belt tensioner for the car tomorrow. I know mine is making a little noise. Any tips on throwing those on? I know I am going to do it soon. Then the car will be ready to fix up and modify some.
