They look best in the vents? Do you have a picture of this?

Okay I see now, they make vent "pods" interesting never seen anyone do that before. Looks neat and keeps things clean.

I like this: http://brandon.jeup.googlepages.com/...4_013-full.jpg where can you find these?

You can find them on ECStuning. There I believe to be $150 for the whole vent kit. Very easy to setup

$150 for a gauge setup!? WOW I was thinking under $100 easily.

I know its very simple to install I've done it with other cars. Can't get over that price though seems incredibly high.

You don't need the vent pod, I bought just the gauge from ecs for ~$60 then used a large circular drill bit and just hot glued it in. Very simple, and looks just as good for $100 less

This is what I will most likely do. I guess we are kind of limited as to what boost gauges we can use if we want them to match the stock look.

Not really, I have a electronic prosport oil pressure gauge in my left vent and a vdo mechanical gauge in my center vent. I'm not sure if the look stock persay but they don't look out of place. Just make sure you buy a red led for the vdo if you do it so it will match the interior lights

Cool thanks. Do you have a link or model of your vdo gauge?

Hehe, are boost gauges necessary? They're an essential tool to monitor your engine's health and performance. Especially since only the AWMs have a MAP sensor to monitor the boost electronically. After having one for awhile you'll quickly realize when something doesn't look right for your set up (too little boost or vacuum, too much boost) and can start diagnosing.

You won't find a more stock looking boost gauge than the AWE vent pod gauge IMO. It comes mounted in a vent already so you don't have to deal with cutting one up, the color is a direct match to the interior (white needles and red lighting for your car), and 0psi sits horizontal which I've always thought looked better and made more sense than the angled ones.

Of course, there is a downside, and it's the price. I was able to pick mine up off ebay used for about $125, much more reasonable.

Here's a picture of mine. OEM as ****.

Does look very nice. I would want to put mine on the left side though not smack in the middle of my car. That's me. We'll see I have other stuff I want to do right now before a gauge.

Is bulb 3457 the correct bulb for the front turn signal of a 2000 A4 1.8T? I've also seen 3457A, any difference?
