What did you do to your B5 today?
Got rid of all the evap crap in my engine bay to clean it up a bit. Also put my regular license plate back on (got pulled over),I liked my german one but whatever. And lastly washed/compounded/polished/waxed it, needed to be done soooo bad from all the snow/salt/brake dust/burnt gas covering my bumper above my tailpipes (downside to test pipe lol) covering it. Looks so much better

It was only a matter of time before you got pulled over for that license plate. It just gives the cops a reason to pull you over. Just a verbal warning?
Got my DTS installed and I have to say it really makes a difference. There is a little additional NVH at idle, but I can live with it. Also installed the correct clutch switch for the ECU and it makes shifting so much smoother. I am so surprised at the improvement that little switch can make.
Of course I did!
Before Evap delete:

After Delete (I also have a fuel rail cover coming in tomorrow to clean up a bit more):

And Clean car!! (Bad lighting but you get the point)

Ya, it was a state cop that was being a hard *** at first , but we got to talking and he was actually pretty cool. He asked what '5V' on my plate meant (5 valve) and he was really into cars so we just talked for awhile and I got away with a warning

You should find that back cover (the one that covers the battery and stuff) and paint those caps black like the rest of them.
Oh yeah and what do you use to clean your engine bay? I've heard WD-40 is good but I've also read it can dry up the rubber so I've stayed away from that. I have some turtle wax spray wax that can be used on multiple surfaces but it doesn't give the engine bay that shiny look. My mechanic used something once on my previous car and it looked amazing. Just keep forgetting to ask him what it was.

I used WD-40 Engine Degreaser on my bay, it's brand new and worked really well. I just sprayed everything down and used a kitchen scrubber to get the deep-crap off.
Thanks man, I have my EVAP coded out so it doesn't throw a CEL, why do you have to keep it? And I've been looking for a rain tray for the longest time, I don't have any junkyards near me and nobody wants to ship one since it's like 4' long. I'll hopefully find one eventually. I'll probably paint the caps black, just haven't really though of it.

I'm sure my junkyard has one, I'd get you one for just the cost and shipping, but like you said shipping would be a lot. The part would probably only be about $10-$15
That's good to know I never knew WD made stuff specific for cars I'll have to find some. This? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AF0...&pi=SY200_QL40

I'm not sure how they would detect you deleted it if it's coded out, but I'm not sure. The rain tray isn't cost efficient to ship, it would be like $50+ to ship. Not worth it. And yes, that's the stuff I use. Works great, cleans everything up nicely
