What did you do to your B5 today?
[QUOTE=MetalMan;1482997
You've probably heard it before (maybe even from me), but try United Motorsports Stage 3. That's what I ran on my AEB with Frankenturbo and I was pretty happy with it.[/QUOTE]
I have the MTM stage 5 (550cc, 3" MAF) ECU for AEB here, but the trial I ran did not work well at all. I should give it another shot, maybe play with the fuel pressure a bit. They call it a "K04, GT28" tune, so my big billet RS6 based turbo should be a good fit.
I would like to tray a United Motorsport Stage 3. What MAF and injector size is this tune calling for the AEB? Main issue: those tunes are expensive (unless I find a decently priced used AEB ECU (or trade something).

UM Stage 3 is 3" MAF (MK3-style) and 630cc / 3bar.

Ordered new parts for almost everything that moves in the front suspension.
It's been clunking from shot CA bushings for a few months now... still drives great and tire wear is still normal. It ought to handle like a new car when all these are installed:
I figured while doing the control arm replacements, it'd be easier to just rip everything out and go back in with all new parts since they're all connected to each other.

- RTS Heavy Duty S4-type Control Arm Kit with solid tie rod ends
- New sway bar bushings
- Bilstein Touring Class (Sport suspension) struts (shocks)
- New strut bumpers and dust boots
- New strut mount bushings
- New front wheel bearings
- New front hubs
- New front axles (both sides)

Time to do more work to the car. My exhaust is toast and got a test pipe. My crank pulley needs to be replaced. My spark plugs and coil packs maybe. Fun times when your first of the year starts out like this lol
Started to remove stuff to check the turbo for shaft play in the 20 degree weather becuase I'm insane. Only got to removing the stock air intake tube and one clamp on the pcv (which looked like it had some oil in it) then it started to snow so I put it all back together becuase I need it for tomorrow morning.
Why I'm checking for shaft play is becuase I'm still curious why my tune from speed tuning never goes above 12 psi when it should be in the 14-18 range from what others have said. Car drives fine and everything. Wanted to check this before I sent my ecu off to k0mpresd because I don't want to pay for another tune just to find out that it actually wasn't the tune after all.
I would think that after 8 months and 5k ish miles through if the turbo was bad it would have gone ka boom by now. So I'm hoping it's just a crap tune. Guess I'll find out.

Ordered a set of new speakers to install in my A4 today. All are Sound Ordnance from Crutchfield (their store brand) total $110 for all 6 speakers shipped. They're all 4 ohm units so I'll suffer a bit of volume loss but should be a huge improvement over my originals which are so dry rotted from 16 years of Texas summer heat they're rattling pretty badly. I'm sticking with the stock Bose stereo and amp for now since they're still in good working order but I have a nice Panasonic head unit from my old truck and will buy a different amp when I'm ready to swap out the original stereo head unit.
Working on getting a long list of things so I can get my car up running once again. New crank gear. New timing kit. New breather and radiator hoses. New turbo inlet. New radiator. New crank pulley. New exhaust is last thing to get lol wow fun times
