What did you do to your B5 today?
Changed timing belt, power steering pump, water pump belt and alternator belt. Sorted out the colors of radio wiring and reassembled front. Previous owner hacked stereo using wire to wire method, not using any plugs.. Wow! Such colors! Very logic!
But I'm having trouble with fitment of front bumper and front fender on sides. Can't find any photos of bumper/fender gap, any of you guys know if it should fit 100% or if bumper should be off by 1/4 inch?

It should fit 95-100%. It is likely not all the way locked back in to the plastic claw that holds it on each side. It is tricky the fist time you do it. Feed the bottom tab downward into the claw on the body, once you're sure it is in there correctly, you have to push down and in at the same time to get the top part of the claw to lock in with the clip on the bumper. Hopefully these pics help.

During my morning commute this morning, pulling away from a light I needed to shift/drive a little aggressively. Next thing I know my hand is up in the air, and the shift **** was still in my hand!
EDIT: Turns out the shift **** is meant to be disassemble-able, and mine just happened to come apart 'cuz it's old and the locking tabs aren't what they used to be. Put it back together for now but am strongly considering filling it with solder wire (or maybe molten lead?) to make it a heavy-weight ****. Think I've got another stock **** laying around somewhere too.

Why did you take the time/money to do the timing belt if you're not even going to drive it?
Cause the average guy sees the T-belt hasn't been done in 75,000 miles and deducts $1,000 from the price. So I spent $177 and a Saturday to make back $1,000 after taxes.
Oh okay you didn't say anything about selling it so that's why I asked. That makes sense then.
