What the hell is this?
First image, I found this under my dash today while installing my boost gauge. I dunno what the hell this is, it wasn't plugged in, and only two of the wires seem to be hooked to something under my dash and then they are twisted and electrical taped together.....
I'm going out on a limb and assuming it's from the previous owner and a car alarm possibly? Dunno.
Second image, anyone know what front end that is on this kids bumper?

I was mostly curious because it looks like you retain the stock bumper and cut out a portion. Hadn't seen anything that usually wasn't either hideous or the everyone does it S4 bumper.
That wiring definitely isn't factory, you're right about that. Also judging by the crimp connectors it was a DIY, pro's solder everything. It would be helpful to know where the wires that are actually attached to something go, can you see where they end up? My first guess would be alarm, turbo timer, something along those lines.

Of course my car is manual so that rules out remote start, and it was bone stock when I bought it, so I'd have to rule out turbo timer, I'm going with aftermarket alarm, or left over something else.
Kind of looked like it was going up into the steering column. I didn't want to mess with it to much. I discovered something similar once a previous car I owned and thought, oh hey I'll just remove this, my car wouldn't turn on for about two months until I solved what had happened. A remote start was installed, then removed.
