That sounds reasonable, the most worrisome thing for me is that this used transmission is bad somehow even though it is working. I would not have suspected an exhaust leak, did not know a turbo could make a clicking sound like that. Open for any other ideas as well since I will have a good few hours tomorrow to look at it.
