What is this speaker harness go to (pic)

It looks like the stock speakers were replaced with infiniti speakers. I'm trying to figure out, what the unhooked connector used to go to.

This is in the trunk on the passenger side of my 1996 A4.

looks like the original connector for the stock speaker, they must have just taped off it.

it use to go to the stock speaker if it gets in the was id just tape it up out of the way
