Thumbs up whats my audi a4 quattro curb weight?!

so i always wonder what my 1997 Audi A4 quattro 1.8T weights aka curb weight, so today i when to a scale to get my weight with other friends and shocking results that i must say i like what i see my curb weight was 3,075Lb car by it self no driver or passenger included just the car on a little before half a tank on gas.

I must say this is excellent for a AWD car my 98 honda prelude weight more so am happy my power to weight ratio is looking sweet so far.

other friends curb weights lets compare

05 subaru wrx 2.0L- 3,090lb
(2012)subaru wrx 2.5L- 3,200lb
94 honda civic del sol 2,255lb <~~ lightly gutted.

so if you ask me my audi weight close to what wrx or evo weights if anything evo 10 seats at 4000+ so i think my car is light, i still dont know where ppl get the idea that audi a4 is heavy you ask me its perfect weight for awd car, and i still have not done anything much to the car i still gotta replace exhaust for stainless steel + test pipe rotors lose the 16"rims i have and drop it to a 15" light weight and bunch of other little things that am sure i can drop it to close to 3,000 flat but anything around there i think its nice.

so there you have it folks short story on curb weight of my a4.

Its not the heavy weight thats a concern. Have you looked under the hood? The entire engine and the bell housing and some of the tranny is in front of the wheels. Whats the engine weigh? Lets say 800ish. Imagine all that weight infront of the tires, now try turning that. No wonder the car handles like **** compared to a wrx or evo. Not saying the audi handles like ****, saying compared to a better engineered weight distribution, it is garbage. Tell your NO Sol friend he is failing by not having that small thing under 1 ton

A B5 is only 50-something pounds lighter than the RWD and much more luxurious C280, and around 200 pound heavier than an E36 328i. It's not a light car by any means, but it's not especially heavy either.
