OK I have decent maintenance record for my car but have a question. I looks like the TB service for a 12v would have been included in the 90k mile service. Is that correct? All I have are the stamps from dealerships when a service was completed. Both 75k miles and 90k were completed at the dealership. If you had a maintenance package that ran to 100k miles which of those services woudl have included the TB service typically?

I already called the dealership that did the services but they don't have records older than 3 years available. I just want to have a better idea of when the service was likely done.

 

if you dont know for sure when it was done you need to assume it wasnt and have it done now. its too expensive if it hasnt been done and it snaps. Audi originally recommended a 100+k mile service interval which we all know is inaccurate, but the dealership probably wouldnt have changed it in a regular service. if you cant find a reciept for it, have it done now.

 

Well my car is at 153k I know it was done at some point. Just trying to figure out if it would have been done near 75k or near 100k.

Basically I am trying to decide if I will do it before this winter (tough as I have a baby on the way in October) or I will push it until early spring and pop the car up then and do it. I know it isn't a great way to look at it but I could part this car out for more than I ahve into it and I could easily buy a replacement quattro car (which I should have done to start with) to use as a DD.
