Default Wierd MAF issue

SO I am chipped and put in a new factory MAF, it idled really rough fluttering between 200 and 900 RPMs and sometimes even dying. However if I unplug the MAF it runs and idles fine. Any ideas?

aftermarket intakes are really bad for these cars,, well it also depends i guess but if you have like a shorty intake from k&n like i do it will destroy the maf sensor and also the oil from the filter will kill that sensor soo fast http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...1002091503.jpg

Just buy some maf cleaner, the same thing happened to me when I changed to a K&N and these guys all scared me with their K&N bashing, but I cleaned the MAF and I haven't had a problem since.
