Windshield Condensation

Windshield Condensation
So i tried searching the forum and didn't find anything to help me with knowing why my windshield had excessive condensation on the inside first thing in the morning. Temps were in the low 30's and the windshield was wet to the touch and took forever to clear with the defroster. I check my sunroof drains and for good measures blew them out and tested the tubes and they drain just fine. I also removed the battery and the drain was plugged but no standing water or any signs of wetness. [confused]

Hi,
I had this problem previously..
The only solution I've found is to turn OFF ECON MODE (since the functioning of the dehumidifier seems to be connected to the A/C button) !AND! Turning OFF the Climate Control once home.
I think what occurs is that when your have the Climate Control ON with ECON MODE ON; the car isn't removing the humidity from the air being sent into the cabin (note: A/C doesn't turn ON until it's 5 degrees Celsius).
As for Turning OFF the Climate Control before cutting the engine; I believe it's because by turning off the vents. You close the vents which prevent the air from outside passing through the dehumidifier's humidity residue/leak, and prevents the condensated air from entering the cabin (which causes the condensation on the windshield afterwards).
