Default Wiring harness for 1 piece headlight conversion? Couple questions

I just ordered DEPO ecodes and now I know I need a wiring harness to go through with the conversion; (2 piece to 1 piece) finally getting rid of the ugly pre-face lights.

Now, I know ECS has this one for $65
Home Page > Search > European Wiring Harness > ES#86 A4 European Headlight Wiring Harness - A4UROWIRINGKIT-A

But when looking on eBay I came across this one for $30
Audi A4 S4 B5 Headlight Wire Adapter Harness from 2pc to 1pc Head Lights | eBay

Will either of these work for the job? They look very different, I can't see the front of the connector on the eBay one which is what concerned me. Description said it's for what my goal is but I'm a tight *** and don't like buying the wrong things, so if one of y'all can help me out that would be awesome.

Thank you!

(eBay connector looks round, thought I needed a D-shaped connector, idk, also, eBay one looks like a male connector, ECS harness looks like a D-shaped female. I have no idea what I'm talking about, which is why I need your help!:

The ebay one plugs into your stock harness and has bare wires on the other end to solder to a facelift plug that doesn't come with the harness. Looks pretty much useless. The ECS harness has the right plug but you'll have to cut off your stock connectors to use it.

Both are a waste of money IMO, drop by a junkyard or partout and cut the headlight connectors off a facelift car, it'll cost no more than $5 and you'll have the exact same harness as ECS gives you.

Or you can remove the connectors and inside harnesses from your two piece lights and use them in the new ones. You'll just have to make a shroud for the connectors where they exit the housings to keep water out. Easy to do and costs about $5.

Okay thanks guys, if I find a facelift B5, just cut the D-plug and wiring that goes into the plug? There are a few s4's being parted out hopefully I can snag one

^This. So yes, facelift B5 from a junkyard will be the correct connector and they will likely charge you $5 each.

Harder than expected to find a facelift B5 in a junk yard around here, trying not to cave in and waste money on the ecs harness but it's hard when my depo's are sitting in boxes

If it helps, you can also get them from a MK4 Beetle headlights according to ETKA.

Or a partout. Try VWVortex Audi classifieds. They usually have a ton of part outs

More specifically, PM pzp or reply to this thread. That's who I got mine from. He seems to always have parts handy.

VWVortex.com - PART OUT: b5 s4 remaining part out parts for b5 s4/a4

Here's another part out that probably has the harnesses:
