so whenever i hit full boost in my 97 1.8t my back right speaker flips out, also it does the same other times to. If i smack the head unit it crackles some more and sometimes, if im lucky, stops being stupid. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the head unit, or whatever i need to do, off to mess with the wires? thanks

 

You will need a set of radio removal keys to get the headunit out. There are several threads on here regarding the removal of the headunit.

To me, it sounds like you might have either a bad ground, or a loose/shorted wire.
