I've been compiling a list of things I need to do to my car so when tax returns come in I'll be ready.

*Maintenance*
-New PCV hoses & Suction pump
-New Motor and Transmission mounts*
-New Driver side ABS sensor
-Transmission fluid flush & change
-Brake fluid flush & change
-Power steering fluid flush & change
-Fix my washer fluid hoses so it doesn't keep leaking all the fluid!
-Fix my 0455 code

*Extras*
-15mm Spacers
-Depo E-codes
-4300k HID's
-ECS Coilover kit
-EFK
-Re-tint
-Re-spray front end
-S4 Skirts, bumper, rear valance
-RS4/S4 grill
-Magnaflow 14816 with vibrant resonator (ImTheDevil's suggestion)
-Supercharger (if I can find one for a good price)

*I have some slight vibrations under acceleration, sometime's they're there, other times they aren't. I have new (year old now) axles (with warranty), apr snub mount, and new (3 months) Control arms. I had the vibrations before I changed the axles and snub mount. Does anyone think the motor & tranny mounts will help? Car is a 99.5 2.8 w/ 138k miles.

- Fix the dirty ABS sensor or bad tone ring that is causing my ABS to come on at low speeds (but not severe enough to throw a code and difficult to log ugh).

- Figure out what this very quiet, deep squeek under tension at low speeds is (I dont think its my CA's, since they are fairly new)

- +1 on fixing binding e-brake.

- Finding a permanent solution (tried a used fuel line already) to the hose that connects to my fuel rail from leaking gas when it is extremely cold out.

- Re-attach covers where my headlight washers used to be.

- Stop the leak in the back right of the trunk (Ive checked the sunroof drains and replaced the tail light, still have a leak)

-Do a power steering flush that isnt half assed.

- Fix the parts that the drivers knee bolster panel screws into, I think I have one or two screws holding the thing on now..

-- Put some very dim red LEDs at the feet of the back passengers.

Couple of you mentioned flushing the power steering. The best way that we've found to do it for real was with the car in service position. We took one of the lines off the reservoir, and stuck it in a bucket. With the serpentine belt removed, we spun the pump pulley using a flat 4" disc on a drill. Cleared it in no time flat.

The B6 DIY power steering flush method in the writeup below was really easy -- did it on Saturday. My reservoir was leaking a little because the filter was clogged and restricting the return line going into the reservoir. Sprayed the crap out of the filter with brake cleaner as per the DIY and all is good again. I assume this method is thorough enough to get all the old fluid out as I could see the fluid go from brownish red to bright green after a couple cycles of the engine. Maybe the service position method is the preferable way to go?

Advance Auto Parts and Napa both carry the correct Pentosin CHF-11s hydraulic fluid. I ordered online at Advance Auto with a 20% off code and did store pick-up. $16 for the liter can. Used about .8 liter.

Lol add an ignition switch to my list - mine is partially shorted. I turn off the car and any ignition-switched accessories I've added (illuminated facelift vents, XM headunit, etc), stay powered up.

My shift linkage was in horrible shape which made the shifter extremely sloppy, replaced it with the jhmotorsports solid shift linkage and stabilizer bushing, both of those and a short shifter combined with the 034 density trans mounts = shifting greatness. I eventually want to thow on a dts which should make it even better.
Over time I plan on replacing all drivetrain mounts with the 034 density stuff and whatever else is out there to upgrade, drivetrain is getting clunky.

well - I'm doing the eBay short shifter and the driver side trans mount tomorrow. I am hoping that will take care of most of it. I am a little nervous about the short shifter install. The trans mount I'm not worried about at all.

Ill let you guys know

Mark the linkage with a scribe before loosening it so it goes back together correctly and stays in gear.

UPDATE

did the short shifter and the driver side tranny mount this morning compliments of Veterans day!

Thing's throw is ridiculously short now. Little more notchy but it def feels better.

also, the tranny mount was shot to ****. The rubber bushing part was barely attached to the metal housing. I highly suggest to everyone they change their motor and tranny mounts if you havent. Makes a HUGE difference. With SS and the new mounts all the way around, thing feels great.
