Your opinion?
I want to order the rs4 style front mesh grill from ecs tuning. How do you feel about changing the front grill to mesh but leaving the lowers stock(horizontal lines)?
I know there are a bunch of DIY links out there to mesh the lowers but I don't trust myself to do a good enough job.
My car is a 2001 1.8t btw. Thanks for any comments!

Looks fine to me. I'm running an OEM RS4 grille with a blacked out border. Most people don't bother converting to mesh style lower grilles. I'm considering doing it, but theres plenty of other things I'd rather do first.
My A4 had a plain black metal mesh grill with no Audi rings logo when I first got it. With the exception that the black paint was fading away and it was starting to rust on the metal, the style of it still looked pretty good. The original owner still had the factory plastic grill with the chrome rings stored in a box for 14 years and I've put it back on, but have considered soda-blasting and repainting that plain black mesh grill and re-installing it. While it's nice to broadcast "Yep I'm driving an Audi" with the factory grill and those four chrome rings greeting everyone in their face, the plain black mesh grill with no logo has a mysterious clean and sporty look that makes people who don't know, wonder what kind of car it is when they see it coming face-on
