No problems at all with how it runs and drives. No misfire or anything. Like I said, the CEL just happened to come on when I was cruising along in 4th gear and I didn't notice anything different in terms of how the car felt/ran/drove.I guess these newer cars are pretty crazy with how quick a CEL can come on for nothing major at all. I do not own a scanner for this car. I would like to purchase one eventually but between car payments and the dmv fee's and dmv tax I just paid, money is kinda tight right now. I just bought the car Monday night fwiw.

I picked up a scanner at Schucks for 60 bucks. It's hard to tell if it is serious because you can't really compare the ride quality to a well operating A4. Doesn't low oil pressure make the CEL flash like there is an emergency?

It went away yesterday and came back tonight. I did not hear or notice anything when it happened. The CEL isn't flashing, its just on. There is no low oil pressure warning showing on the display.

I bought it privately from a guy that owned it 2 years. Im the 3rd owner. Carfax came up clean. It was sold to him as an audi certified pre owned vehicle. I have all his reciepts from services and oil changes. He went to one of those cheap quickie oil change places and had it changed like every 2200 miles but they used regular oil. It shouldnt mater since it was changed frequently anyway. I have to have audi print me out all the service papers from day 1 so i know what was done and what wasn't. I gotta find out if the timing belt was ever done.
He said the car is still warrantied til december by audi assured warranty through any dealership. I didn't get any paper work for that so I dont know how that works? He said its a $50 deductable for repairs under warranty.

Yeah I went to autozone this afternoon. I made another thread down below. I got code P0420 for catylist effiency low. I did a search on that and it seems its a bad cat. I am gonna try and schedule an appointment with the dealer this week. From what I read, theyre only gonna scan it and erase the code and then I hvae to see if it comes back and if it does they replace the cat under warranty.
