02 a4 1.8T question
Hey Guys
So I want to know this:
We all love the turbo swoosh....
I want to add that sound to my 1.8t a4 if at all possible. I have read that BOV's can harm since they release air that the computer has factored in to the fuel consistancy. I have also read that Diverter valves can do the same thing, without running risk of harm.. Is this true? I don't want to do any harm, but would love to have the sound that my turbo can make. Thanks guys.

There are BOVs where you can recirculate the released air back into the system. I think they are called "closed loop."
EDIT: I think this might be it. http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=2542
Aftermarket DVs dont make sound themselves. However, if you let off the gas suddenly and the DV closes quickly, it can cause air to rush backwards out of the airbox creating a 'swoosh' sound (no where near as loud as a BOV). You really have to try to make this happen
