any mechanic should know how to do it. But its really not that hard to do on your own.

I've got a similar problem on an '87 5000s
On that car I've got it tracked down to leaky injectors
The injectors leak out, fuel vapourizes in the warm injector with the reduced pressure causing a vapour lock.
Not saying this is your problem but could be.
Consider the mileage on the injectors.

Quote: Again, so car cranks but doesn't start: Coolant temperature sensor.... they go bad waaaay to often.

To confirm: Open the key to the start position without starting the car (do this when the car normally acts up) and leave it there for approx 3-5 seconds, then close the key completely, then attempt to start the car, it should crank and start right away.
Dan,
Can you help me understand this? So crank the engine for 5 seconds or just turn on to IGN for 5 seconds. Then turn off and then try to start.

Just want to understand.

Also, the temp sensor on the back of the engine is the one you are talking about or the one at the lower radiator connection?
