1.8t b6 alternator removal

Default 1.8t b6 alternator removal

is there a way of removing the top allen bolt closest to the manifold without removing the manifold? ive been searching for a diy but cant come across and B6 threads.

yes, there is, you shouldn't have to remove your manifold to get the alternator out. I know I had to remove to get to the thermostat. I'd say the most you have to remove is the coolant hose that goes over it, and maybe your throttle body intake hose.
