Hey everyone I am new to the forum and am about to turn 16 and I know I want to get the 1.8t cuz its good on gas and all the above. My family and I went to the dealer ship and we test drove the RS4 for and i basically shitted in my pants lol. Once I heard the exhaust on that thing I was already blown away. I totally understand that it may not be possible to reproduce that kind of sound on a 1.8t but can anyone please tell me what i can do as far as intakes or exhausts go to get close to a sound like that. Also i have heard that the 1.8T has a delayed acceleration is that true?

Go on youtube, type 1.8T Exhaust... It sounds differently, even on 1.8t GTI and 1.8T a4.
Well you drive on 1.8L motor till you hit 2500-3000RPMs zone when the Turbo kicks in, but still, stock 1.8T are not that fast ))

 

the 1.8t is less than half of the displacement of the rs4 and 4 cylinders short of one too, youre not going to get that exact sound, but there are some sweet sounding exhausts for the 1.8t's

 

intake will gain you ZERO hp BTW

nothing will even come close to the rs4 but i like my neuspeed, its cheap, all stainless steel, bolts together, great fit and finish and sounds very very euro but the bottom line is i still only have 4 cylinders but it doesnt sound like a civic with a fart can at all
