Default 19s on '03 A4...rub? advice?

I was thinking of getting those velocity motoring rs4 replica 19 inch rims for my 03 a4. stock suspension and brakes on the b6 frame. i was told with 235/35/19 tires that there shouldn't be any rubbing at all? any advice?

and what about sliding in wet conditions? the bridgestone potenza pole position all season seem to be pretty good with that? anyone have any experience?

thanks

jeff

Hi jkettle, welcome to the forums. My honest opinion is stick with 18" wheels. They seem to be proportioned better, are easier to get tires for, and wont cause any rubbing at all.

I would talk to the guys at Hartmann/Achtuning Phone: 877.895.4700 or if you have AIM talk to Dion .. "achtuningdion" is his screen name

I actually just installed these exact wheels about two weeks ago. They look amazing very nice quality they do not rub at all that I have experienced yet I have hit some dips and drove it hard and have had no problems at all. I went with the 235/35/19 and have no problems. I have noticed what seems to be a little sluggish performance but thats about it

I'm running 245/35/19 on ASA JH8 in a 19 x 8 40mm offset config on my B6 S4. The car is sitting on H&R sport coils. I had a little rubbing on the 12 o'clock screw at the top of the fender well. I removed it and popped off the tab it sat against, and now I get almost no rubbing. I have to have a couple of people in the car and hit a bump hard mid turn to rub.

I am also running 235/35/19 with the 19 x 8 rs4 reps on my 03 A4. My car was lowered a few inches before, but now it sits on an 02 sport suspension. The 02 sport suspension sits a bit lower than others imho. But i have no issues with it rubbing at all.

You won't rub on stock suspension or stock sport suspension.
I run VMR RS4 19" reps with spacers to clear front BBK, and I run 245/25/19 tires for a little more protection. Offset is et34. Like post above, I rubbed on big bumps at that top center plastic tab/screw. Removed it and a few inches of that stupid carpet in the rear well. No rubbing now ever, 25.5" center of fendercutoutheight on Vogtland coilovers.
Your car will look like a 4X4 on stock suspension, though.
Finally, VMR is awesome. Good to deal with.
