Well guys im about at my wits end with this, I was hoping I could get some help.. I read all up on how to recode the central convienence module to operate the key fob to roll up and down the windows. This car is a 2002 Audi A4 1.8t quattro. I does not have power seats. The deal is that the original coding is 11788. Now I added +64 to 11852. Then I went to adaptation and checked for coding 95. It's there, and I enen recoded 95 as well. The windows still wont roll up and down with the key fob enev though the module is recoded to 11852. And I even can recode the lock doors at 15mph and to unlock when the key is removed. That does work.

Now heres the kicker, before I started this I noticed that the windows will not go up or down my furning the lock cylynder and holding it all the way to one side or the other. Basically there's something wrong cause I cannot find any reference to this issue. So am I doing this right? mY 1999 aUDI A6 works fine with the mod.

I don't remember much of the coding, all I can tell you is that 95 doesn't sound right, I think is 91 but I could be wrong. What you can do is find all the values, and cross reference them to your car, start from scratch; if you still have the same issu after it, maybe your CCM is acting funny, either that or your key barrel. Does the car lock and arm the alarm when you use the key in the door?

 

yes it does lock with the key in the door. Unlocks too. Value 95 is what I have found all over the internet. The car came with adaptation value 95 from the factory. I just needed to recode the add ons in the recode function.

 

ok then if you recode from the 11 option I believe that value should have changed. like I mentioned before start everything from scratch, go through every screen on the VAGcom and don't make any changes, just record what you have, then after you have the values make the changes and see if that works.

 

Well I have gone through the codes again and it looks like mabye either something is wrong or somethings not entered right. If I recode to 11880, (11788 +64 +32 -4) and I can unlock all doors with one click. and when I drive off the doors lock at 15mph, so some changes are taking effect. What throws me is sometime last summer the windows quit going up and down via key cylinder in the door..

 

Then your cylinder is probably broken, if the return line from the cylinder is not proper you more than likely won't be able to utilize the overide system on your ECU to roll with your remote. I can only guess so much without the proper schematic... So here's one thing I know for sure, if you cannot roll the windows up or down with your key in the cylinder, you won't be able to with the remote either no matter the coding.

 

What is this central convienence module you speak of? I am confused.

 

That makes sense, I will pull the door panel to see if theres a problem (visually) wit the lock cylinder.

The conveinence module is the ecu that controlls features like power windows and door locks. It is the unit that picks up the signal coming from your transmitter (key fob).

Believe I got that correct.. lol

 

Yes, and you get all kinds of little weird problems when that thing gets wet.
