Hey my turbo is leacking oil, I would like to know if anyone knows if they sell turbo rebuilt kits? Because to buy a new one it's like 600 some dollars. Also what is the difference between KO3 and 4? Please help.

 

The K03 is the stock turbo; the K04 is slightly larger. With a K04, bigger injectors, and appropriate ECU reprogramming, you'll be making considerably more power than stock. (APR, for one, sells a kit, and they claim it makes almost 250 HP - I imagine other tuners have similar options.)

I don't know about rebuilding turbos, but I would imagine that you'd need to get the turbo out of the car and look at its condition inside and out in order to determine whether that's an appropriate option.

 

I just dont want to pay like 600 dollars for a new turbo, I talked to a couple guys at the Audi dealer where I work they said it's possible to rebuild it. The only problem is I don't know what company sells kits for a rebuilt.
