Any help would be appreciated. My Audi has 140k and when it sits more than a few hours when I start it up a lots of white smoke comes out of the exhaust. It does not have a particular strong odor more embarrassing than anything. I go through a lot of oil and the more its topped off with oil the more it happens. I took it to a mechanic who told me it was $3000 to fix. thanks for any info.

 

If your burning oil its usually blue/gray smoke..

White smoke is usually water/condensation.. Especially if it doesn't smell of gas..

Do you have a miss at startup?
