Default 5 speed shifting issues

Hey guys I am actually having the same problem as the friend with the 6 speed shifting issue. On the other hand mine is not tuned up.

Here is the problem:

The car is 2003 1.8l

I bought the car at 104k miles with the clutch a little worn out. Now the car is at 108k and until know I haven't had any problem shifting it was all smooth except the clutch was catching very high. A few days ago i got off the freeway and at the red light I stopped and when it turned green I put it in first gear but started going in very rough and hard, and every gear after that. I got to my house driving like that it was the same way about 10 miles. I went to my friend the next day to show him and he tested it and said it could be clutch or throw out bearing or it needs to be synced. But when I was getting ready to leave i started the car and it would go in any gear. I turned it off and all the gears were going in perfectly. So when the car is on no gears even reverse go in. so what do you think is the problem and give me some suggestions?

Thanks in advance

And also I was wondering if I am maybe low on trans fluid.

Thanks

Could be a combo of a worn clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing/(and in rare cases, the throwout bearing fork). You're best bet is to purchase the clutch (im assuming you were going to anyways since you bought it knowing the clutch was worn) and dig in to find the culprit. I haven't read too much about other issues with the trans in these cars, they are pretty sound transmissions. Now if we were talking 83 porsche 944, I would tell you its time to split the trans open since they are noted for that haha.

If the fingers on the pressure plate diaphram are damaged which can happen when pieces of the clutch disc fall apart and end up inside the pressure plate, it does throw off the engagement of the clutch system. Like Dozanti said, a crack in the release lever/fork can do this too. The fork for the 5 speed is 24.18 and 3 days away to order in. A flywheel is p/n 06B-105-266-A for 620.62, brand new, in stock on this.
Any questions please let us know, thank you. Jeff.
