Default 6-Speed Shifting Issues

Hi Everyone,

I recently picked up my first Audi Ultra Sport 1.8t, 6-Speed. It's very tuned... APR Stage +1, TT 225 Injectors & Valve, Carbon Cold Air Intake, and recently a DXD stage 1 endurance clutch & flywheel as well as some suspension stuff.

Here is what happened.. I got it with 56k miles and the clutch plate went out at 57,000.. so I got the DXD southbend because APR recommended it with my Chip. After the new clutch got installed, it shutters like crazy. Low RPM is so bad that my rear view mirror is shaking. Because of this, I run it between 2k-3k rpm - any lower and its a vibrator. It will shutter no matter what around 37 mph.

Recently, the shifting has been getting notchy. I started noticing some notchyness going from 2nd to 3rd gear. Are my Synchros going bad? Does the shift linkage need to be adjusted? was the dxd clutch not installed right?
Does the transmission need to be flushed?

Can someone help me figure out some adjustments I can make, so my car wont blow up?

I would guess the flywheel needed to be replaced along with the clutchplate. If the surfaces are not smooth, it would cause chattering and bad engagement. Based on the mods and the fact you needed a clutch, you could assume the PO had dumped the clutch plenty. Did they install a new pilot bearing when they replaced the clutch?

If the clutch was replaced at 57k its because it was burned up..... most likely warped the flywheel

No bearing was replaced. I did have a new flywheel installed. I think a lot of the shutter is from the fact that it's a single mass flywheel... Not dual. Southbend (apr) recommended it. Im worried that it's tough on the gear box.

Would MT-90 be better than AMSOIL?

Default Mt-90?

I'm having the same difficulty shifting. Dealer said possible problem with 2nd & 3rd gear synchros. I don't know much about cars, but it seems like this MT-90 stuff may be a good idea for me... but what is it and how the heck do I get it into the car. lol any DIY links would be most appreciated.

maybe its shuddering because of slippage. for the first few hundred miles the clutch may slip until its broken in.
