I saw the sticky for regular B6 A4 models, but I have the cabriolet which only has a quarter rear window and no door. I just got quoted $580 by a mechanic to fix this, but it seems high seeing as the parts run about $150 from what I can tell. Is the rear window that difficult to access? I've thought about doing it myself, but I'm pretty unknowledgeable about those kind of things and am hesitant to take my whole rear seat panel off.

Has anyone done this kind of repair before? Are there any guides for it? Is $580 a ridiculous rate?
