Default A4/Engine/Trans codes/type

I am looking to get "specific" information on my A4 as it relates to the Engine and transmission and such, as specific as I can find not just 1.8T. Is there a place that we might be able to input our VIN and get specific info related to the car? Audi's web site says nothing and most internet sites basically tell me what I already know.
I suppose if I head to the dealer they could actually tell me something I just don't know if they'd want to be that helpful so I'm looking for a place I can get it. Perhaps it's on a sticker on the car, just haven't looked at those yet.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.
Geoff

I think this might be what you're looking for. Found it by googling "audi 1.8t engine codes." That said, I think there may be some inaccuracies, because I know the factory spec on my '02 1.8T claims 170HP, and that page says it's 150, so take it with a grain of salt.

Wow that site doesn't even include the 06A engines that were used in the 2001 B5 A4 1.8t and the B6 A4 1.8t here in North America which are the AWM and AMB.

Geoff it might help if you include the year of your car and what country you live in.

Well, like I said, I just found it with a quick google search, so the veracity and/or completeness of the information might be questionable, but at least it's a starting point.

Odd they dont even list the ATW A4 1.8t for 2000. But then it looks like they only list the Euro engines which we dont get here in North America.
