Audi a4 2.4 heating and water issue..help please..
Hi guys
Just bought an A4 2.4 v6 a week ago.
My coolant is running out every 3 days.. And heaters have started to blow cold.
Can't see any signs of water in my oil or vice versa..
Also temperature is sitting at approx 92 degrees.. If that means anything..
Any ideas..
Cheers

hi TEE TEE i just bought the same model car with the same issues i searched everywhere to try find where i was losing coolant i ended up replacing my radiator cause it was leaking behind the condensor where you cant really see but only when the car was running and the cooling system was under pressure, switch the car off and it will stop. I was lucky it was a easy fix, does the heater start warm when the cars warming up to operating temperature then switch to cold if it does the thermostats shutting off the heater to prioritize on cooling the engine usually cause the engines running hot, coolant loss could be anywhere from waterpump, heater core, hoses WORSE CASE SENARIO hairline cracks in the head or fractured tank internally where the transmission pipes run into radiator(contamination) which could be catistrophic if its CVT. BUT on the brighter side it could be something simple, check thoroughly for external leaks first especially under the body on mine it didn't leak on the ground it leaked along the underside of the car being pushed by the wind it wasn't till i climbed underneath took all the covers off i tracked it from trans all the way back to radiator, its usually a good sign if its leaking outside the engine in most cases, hope you get it sorted and let us know the outcome
this is my first Audi and i love to learn more on the troubleshooting side of them great cars.
