Default Automatic transmission upgrade options

I'm looking at potentially tuning our new Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T. I'd like the peace of mind of having a stronger transmission but have no idea if its even possible with Audi's automatic. Insight into options definitely helps.

I'm not looking to swap out for a manual as this is mainly my wife's ride and she's anti-stickshift cars. I was wondering if I could use manual transmission clutch kits on an automatic transmission. I figure not as they are set up much differently.

That's kinda what I had thought. So the OEM NON-CVT transmission should be able to hold up to a good amount of modding before looking into a 6-speed transplant? I'd like to go Stage 2 with the Audi but I'm uncertain if the stock auto trans can handle that much power.

Sell the car and buy a manual. Because you will need to replace the driveshaft and rear differential / axles with the transmission because drive ratios are different and you will get an annoying chatter.

You have to understand when building a performance car..... You have to find a strong platform to start on, otherwise its counter productive and way too costly
