b5 issues

Exclamation b5 issues

I HAVE a 01 a4 quattro 1.8t slightly modified and have a power issue.
i'll be driving and al of a sudden the car will hickup power. and when i first got the car it was almost scary how it would pickup and immediate throttle response now not so much. lastly i prev could be in 4th down shift and spank past most cars now it will rev but no power sometimes what can the prob b this is driving me nutzzz.

it is like the car has no umf in it like b4. i was thinking new fuel filter fuel pump and injectors maybe but that does not adress the seemingly transmission problems fith is great though it is just 1-4 that just dont feel right.

oh and 1 more thing where can i get the trans brace so when i launch or hit a gear hard the boom from the rear would stop????

You could have a clogged cat converter, which would definately cause a lack of power. This is a 1.8T engine right?

You can PM me but i get so many of them that i probably wouldn't reply any faster. Well no, you can't just look down there. You can upgrade to a 3" test pipe that eliminates the cat if you live in a state with no emmisions, that would also up the power level. I would drive it for a while and make sure no other fault codes pop up.
