My car just did this on the rear passenger side. it will go down by motor and slowly go down over bumps but it wont go up. but i can still hear the motor go when hit the up switch.

So can I just buy the kit that has the plastic pieces or the whole regulator assembly?

You need the whole regulator.

Have a 2003 A4 Quatro, have the new regulator to replace the bad one in the rear passenger side door. Is it the same basic job on the rear door as the front? Does the inside carrier come off the same way?

TIA!

I just orderd a Bently service manual, can't figure out how to get the door apart to get the top mounting screw for the regulator out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My window is stuck up instead of down like everyone else's (I can start rolling it, then it gets stuck and rolls itself back up by itself), is it still likely the same regulator issue?

Also, why can't I just buy the clip by itself instead of the whole regulator?:

Because the entire regulator is crap, if you just replace the clips there is no guarantee the cable, or plastic wheels the cable rides on won't break a month later.
