Default Battery draining...door latch?

Hey everyone,

So im new here and have been searching endlessly for an answer with no luck so far. I have a 02 A4, 1.8. For about the past month, everyonce in a while, I go out to start the car and its dead. I jump it, and its fine for a few weeks. And then it happens again.

Thought it was the battery...had it checked out. It was fine, but replaced anyway.

Alternator was reading at 66 amps. Had it stressed tested. Put out 157 amps. So its fine too.

Ran codes. Came back with 15 faults. Nothing that would suspect a draw or ect..

Im at a loss right now. Could it be a door latch sensor? I know that they have been problems for others in the past, but I dont really have any of the symptoms that others have had. My LCD says the doors open when its open, closed when its closed. The odo comes on when car unlocked and off when locked. Dome lights come on and go off accordingly.

The ONLY thing that is weird and its been like this since day 1 is that I have no door open chime, lights on chime, or ignition chime. I never really noticed it when I bought it and it has never bothered me before.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!! Thanks

Parasitic draws kinda suck to diagnose. I know our factory navigation units will suck the battery dry when they go bad, but not many B6's were equipped with factory nav.
The way we do it is hook up an Amp meter to the battery positive terminal and wait for the draw to commence, then we start taking out fuses to see if the draw stops.

My suspect would be the comfort control module under the driver's side floor, water tends to collect there if the sunroof drains leak (or the pleanum by the battery builds up water) which shorts out the module. Sometimes it just takes it out completely, other times it just shorts circuits together which can cause all sorts of weird issues. I would pull up the carpet in front of the driver's seat and remove the black box with the wire harness going into it. See if there is any visible water down there first, then remove the connector and look for any corrosion on the pins. Thats at least a start if you don't have an Amp meter. (DVOM)

about 2 months ago the nav on my 2005 a6 stopped working. i get the message 'navigation not installed' when i try to use it. recently my battery has been draining to about 10% while sitting overnight. recharges fine while driving. could the bad navigation unit be the cause of my battery drain?
