Battery info..
#4
Coincidentally I just replaced my battery last night with Optima D35 Yellow Top. It's a little narrower and considerably shorter than the stock battery but is an easy fit. Just put it to the passenger side of the battery holder and reuse the stock hold down with one addition - a slight modification of the generic battery clamp below (the one I got from O’Reilly Auto Parts was branded differently so this looks like a pretty common part).
Unfortunately I only have this picture of it in the package. Hidden below the square bracket is the triangular bracket that I used. The straight clamp part goes onto the battery as usual. The triangular tail part is too wide to fit in the space available so I simply clamped it into my vice and used a mallet to bend it 90 degrees. This not only made it fit into the available space, but also formed a valley into which the stock hold down fit perfectly. Just bolt it in place and the hold is solid as a rock.
