Default Best Air Intake for 1.8T?

I'm looking into changing my intake and was wondering if i should purchase a K&N Cold Air Intake that i saw for $140 or change my filter to a cone filter, any ideas, on what i should do?

i think is to much, you could build one up yourself. just buy the pipes on the ebay and make it colder with less money.

Check out the FAQ in the B5 subforum. There is a ton of info in there for the 1.8T engine and it'll apply to the B6 as well.

is it really worth it to make a hole cold intake. I just put a k and n drop in filter in my 1.8t a4.

u will just get alot of heat and sound but no much extra power. best bet it to do the drop in fliter as the stock airbox supplies a sufficent amount of air to the motor.
