so i got my podi boost gauge kit installed last night. it looks incredible! couple of questions though, im APR stage 1, and from what ive gathered, it seems that most people spike around 20 or 21 and hold around 17. for some reason, i dont really get a spike at all; it just rises to 15 or 16 pretty quick and holds there. so the numbers for where it holds seem about right, but im not spiking at all, is this normal? also, sometimes in second gear ill get on the gas pretty good and itll only register like 6 or 8, i couldnt locate any obvious leaks anywhere and in third, fourth, and fifth i hold around 15 or 16 so im confused. any ideas. as always, thanks in advance.

it should spike then hold a few pounds lower... i have apr 1+ and mine spikes at 23 and holds about 20, just keep in mind once the RPMs are up, it wont make near as much boost cause its a itty bitty turbo... have you replaced your DV? they are known to fail, after my flash, my APR r1 tore on my test drive but we ddint know, so i had a similar problem, i only peaked around 17-18 when i knew it should be about 5lbs more....

how much vaccum do you pull? you could have either a boost or vaccum leak, or a check valve has failed

 

at idle its at 20..i have the digital gauge and it actually flutters from 19 to 20 at idle... kind of annoying actually.. and tonight there was still no spike and i was only holding at 15. so something is definitely up, wish i wasnt such a noob to cars still [>:][:@] anyone else with apr stage 1, what do you spike/hold at?
